An obese woman on a hospital bed after I'd inserted a metal catheter, bolts and all. We were moving her to a gurney to be carried off by helicopter. We flopped her on the gurney, ignoring her screams and physical resistence. We strapped her in without any protection from the cold but a hospital gown.
I hiked a hill and found the summit was entirely muddy shallow water. I walked through the water to catch a view but was swept up in a current towards a ledge. Accepting this fate, I closed my eyes and went over, calm as I fell, soft landing near shore. I climbed out onto a curb near a line of shops.

...I was walking with you down a school corridor and the power went out. You scurried around the corner quite unexpectedly forward and away from me. I shouted that I was lonely then, when you did not answer, I returned to the classroom from which we had originally emerged. I had tasks to complete but I did not know where to begin.

I can only think that it was you Gig. Where did you go? Death does not suit you. But then, you always wore ill´fitting suits.

...I was involved in care of an ugly baby curly blond hair size changing, sick with complications: inflating head drooling diarrhea, welts, trach secretions. Rubbed fragile body with thick Ativan paste. Called 911 despite mother's indifference. Failed rescue, admonished EMS for poor communication.

I was walking along a meandering river, a disturbance becoming a frenzy of  pink "salmon" leaping, parading on the bank in groups, ranging in size: some of them like furless mammals. Fishermen in overalls threw fodder from hay trucks. I was concerned about the imbalanced ecosystem.

..I was working as a bartender and had been asked to make a cocktail of soy sauce and vinegar in a large glass. When I added the drops of soy sauce they formed swirling dust clouds and then solidified into rocks that stuck together and formed islands with vegetation. I thought I might become famous.

...there was an anesthetized body supported by a hydraulic lift in an operating room. The skin on the legs had been peeled back neatly exposing crisscrossed muscles, rubbery and clean like those on preserved cadavers. Men in welding masks filled the spaces between the straps of muscle with caulk.
