My cat Alice floating in the waves of an ocean, her claw was damaged. I tried to examine it and off came half of her skin. Very bloody. Tried to find a veterinarian but phone possibilities were endlessly daunting. Vet finally came and I asked him for pain medication for her. He said I was "stupid".

Teaching in an auditorium, many students, I'm in the middle of a circle, unprepared, no syllabus, computers too complicated. I stated "This is a ..." and everyone shouted "dream!" A girl with kinky blond hair was identified as the smartest girl. I asked her "what is a dream?" she answered with something I already knew. I said "I already know that." She replied, "well, I'm you."

I fashioned a decorative table. I was proud of it until a stranger pointed out that placing needles sticking up vertically from the surface was probably not safe or functional. I felt ashamed for not recognizing this myself.

I entered a wide ocean blue elevator with thousands of diamond buttons. As we descended we were in free fall, accelerating, stuck to the wall from the force. People were muttering, panicked "Please Stop". The elevator kept falling.  I closed my eyes tightly and waited for the impact.

Toilets had chairs stacked on them. Removed the chairs then thought they were blocked for a reason. Searched for more facilities but only found shelves cluttered with repetitious objects: chess pieces, backpacks, stuffed animals... The shelves were collapsing. I tried to stop items from sliding off.

Class had to meet in the lobby; my room being used for music lessons; instruments like sitars played like cellos. Frustrated with unruly class, I went outside to decompress. When I returned the door lock fell apart into several pieces also tangled in a jump rope with lemon handles. I couldn't fix it.

Enormous eggs hatching in the living room; my childhood home. Black birds of prey, the size of ostriches, emerged forming a line under a blasted out window. One by one, they flew out, a pig and a lion among them. A woman in  a white coat and stethoscope was looking for a vet.

The large machine took up most of the garage. The woman said it was an amplifier. It was connected together by wide glass tubes and bellows that pumped a variety of caustic materials, sticky salves and  powders. She was unhappy that I couldn't figure out how to operate it.

A large cat had paws run over. Picked it up and held it close to put pressure on the wounds. I carried it into a neighborhood box apartments; fronts open to the street. A woman on a large bed with several children claimed the cat. I offered her the cat. A brown liquid leaked out all over the sheets.

Went to a "video" store. There were bins full of small machines that you hooked up to your body and a movie would play infront of your eyes. I tried one that attached to the thumb.

Friday, March 3, 2017

Stopped at an intersection in a crime-ridden area of the city with my boyfriend. People trying to get into the car or looking forlorn outside the windows. A young man climbed in the back seat. His aunt was on the phone admonishing him for being a murderer. We took him home anyway.

Some friends abandoned me at a conference and I had to find a cab. Phones in the facility were impossible to operate. A stranger loaned me his cell phone but it unfolded like a giant map with  unfamiliar icons and different instructions for each section. I cried.

Sunday, February 26, 2017

Holding on to a large cat I climbed through sand dunes, then across tables covered with house and furniture parts at an indoor construction site. Then a glass door opened on to a street. I let the cat go because I knew where I was since a marqui read "this is where Mary was killed by a mad grocer"
...I was doing a load of laundry, but the laundry was turning to slime and the pile was growing bigger and people were pouring in to the basement, they looked relaxed. The pile was now full of carburetors and grenades and other mechanical devices. I screamed a vulgar phrase over and over.
The home I was living in had large glass walls overlooking an orchard full of peaches the size of basketballs. Hyenas frolicked under the canopy. I was taking a test identifying varieties of bees based on their abominal patterns which were each complex and colorful designs. I kept spilling things.

Driving on highway then sandy road, then dunes. Now on foot, on top of dunes holding a cat, view sky, lake, forest, so enormous and colorful I became dizzy. It wasn't just the horizon but the entire sphere of the sky.
Small furry creatures shoved in a compact in a purse. Took them in my apartment and they all leapt out. I realized then that the apartment was full of cats. I threw the cats outside. After, could only locate one, morphing from wounded furry mouse-like to owl on stilts to snake with large head.

Monday, February 13, 2017

The class was unruly, playing loud music from a box radio, shifting about, uninterested. The boards were covered with papers and falling down. The content was unclear, my lesson plan missing. The book was disorganized. As I turned my back to assign homework the class left, ten minutes early.
Next day, the class was so far away and soon.  Books to carry and papers: the bag broke so I left it. The way uncertain, strangers unhelpful, roads misleading. Beer fests, old timers making brass handles with tall machines in my way. I screamed. I felt I was trying to do right but it was all against me.

Tuesday, January 24, 2017

I had a preying mantis and walking stick. Someone put them together in a bird cage and they faught, I found them alive but with no appendages. I gave them to Brad Pitt and soon after he died. I spent the rest of the night, dream to dream, telling people I'd killed Brad Pitt and dreading the consequences.

An obese woman on a hospital bed after I'd inserted a metal catheter, bolts and all. We were moving her to a gurney to be carried off by helicopter. We flopped her on the gurney, ignoring her screams and physical resistence. We strapped her in without any protection from the cold but a hospital gown.
I hiked a hill and found the summit was entirely muddy shallow water. I walked through the water to catch a view but was swept up in a current towards a ledge. Accepting this fate, I closed my eyes and went over, calm as I fell, soft landing near shore. I climbed out onto a curb near a line of shops.
